Restarting of research looking at driving lessons on motorways
News from DVSA about the suspended research project looking into the effectiveness of driving lessons on motorways:
In January 2020 we wrote to you to let you know that we would be surveying newly qualified drivers to find out:
• if they took motorway driving lessons
• whether practising on motorways helped to prepare them for a lifetime of safe driving
Due to COVID-19 we put this research on hold.
As driving lessons and testing has now restarted in England, Scotland and Wales we are restarting the research and will be contacting newly qualified drivers again soon.
