It sounds like something from a Will Ferrell movie, but a dash cam fitted to one of the vehicles from HD Property Services spotted a man sat in the carnival contraption waiting at a junction.

Ben Peters, who runs Telematics Pro UK Ltd which supplied the dash cam, said he couldn’t believe his eyes when he first watched the clip. He said: “I just thought oh my god, is that really a dodgem? I know that electronic cars are popular, but this is another level. “I can only assume that he has amended it to make it into a road legal vehicle. I have never seen anything like it before in my life.”

This is not the first time someone has decided to take the fairground vehicle onto the roads. Earlier this month Mark Harper, 46, was seen sweeping along a pavement in a converted dodgem in Tamworth, Staffordshire, The Mirror reported.

The father-of three from Glasgow bought the theme park vehicle on eBay for £400 and spent approximately £2,500 to turn it into something fit to drive. In 2015, retired Tom Evans, fell in love with a bumper car he had spotted on eBay and transformed it into a vehicle which would run on petrol.

We’ve seen some interesting modified vehicles on the road, but this is a new one for us. Let us know on our Facebook page if you’ve seen anything like this before!
