DVSA – Update on Scottish local protection levels
11 areas in Scotland currently under protection level 4 will be moved out of the highest protection level at 6pm on Friday 11 December 2020.
They also confirmed that no new areas will be moving to the highest protection level at present. This will be kept under review by the Scottish Government.

All DVSA services will restart in the areas moving out of protection Level 4 from 6pm on Friday 11 December and continue in those in levels 0 – 3.
We will keep this under review in line with Scottish Government guidance.
Driving, riding and theory tests
Driving, riding and theory tests will restart on Saturday 12 December in areas moving out of protection Level 4 and all planned tests will take place.
We will send reassurance messages to all candidates with a test booked until 19 December 2020 to confirm their test can go ahead as planned.
Driving and riding lessons
All driving and riding lessons can restart in areas moving out of protection Level 4 from 6pm on Friday 11 December 2020.
Motorcycle manoeuvre areas will also reopen on Saturday 12 December 2020.
Driver CPC
In-vehicle Driver CPC periodic training courses can take place again in areas that are moving out of protection Level 4 from 6pm on Friday 11 December.
