How do you rate your driving instructor skills?

Your potential customers certainly want to know how good you are, if you’re reliable and how you compare on the service you offer. But whilst choice is a good thing, it can also be daunting and time consuming. It means many people searching for their first driving instructor quickly revert to the presumed security offered by big brand national schools, or even the less than satisfactory local instructor a friend used.

Rated Driving allows you to cut through the noise and shine like the star you are, serving up a feast of positive professional driver training and support – they can find you and you can find them. This is the industry matchmaker that really does work.

“Together we can raise standards, improve incomes and provide a service better suited to all our needs.” – Oliver Tuffney, Founder

Hungry for more

The pandemic has meant demand is high for your services at the moment. It’s certainly great to feel wanted and in demand, but how can you guarantee it continues?

This new app service will provide you with added peace of mind, securing your pupil pipeline in the months and years ahead. “It’s one for the back pocket” as one signed up ADI aptly put it.

Cooked up by ADIs

Others have tried and failed. Rated Driving has learnt from their mistakes and is here to fulfil their potential as well as yours.

It’s the brainchild of an ADI and built with the help and input of more than 100 dedicated driving instructors. It’s also built on the lessons learnt by previous providers who have also provided input in the quest to serve up a successful ‘Find an Instructor’ product. The result is an app that 90% of instructors say is easy to use and does what it promises.

A model recipe

The right ingredients are essential for serving up the perfect dish. A number of the key ingredients were stipulated by ADIs through surveys, phone calls, video chats, meeting and group discussions, with a little sprinkling of seasoning and that unique chef’s magic:

  • A clear, quick, simple and clean design to optimise useability and functionality
  • No weekly/monthly fees, and minimum user commitments
  • Easy to use, bespoke to your needs and integrated into your business
  • Only matching local pupils with local ADIs

“A ‘find an instructor ‘app that works for pupils and ADIs without the ties and restrictions that have tripped up those that have gone before.” – Oliver Tuffney, founder

Veritable Feast

Rated Driving’s goal is to match learners with driving instructors in their area, while avoiding franchise fees and ensuring complete independence for ADIs and their school.

It means instructors save money and time, learners pay in advance and both parties have an organised, diary efficient booking system. You are guaranteed to get paid even if the pupil fails to turn-up.

In simple terms, there are no joining fees, no weekly fees, just a small percentage of the income from the learners provided; for example, it costs you just £7.50 from every £100 you generate. Better still, if you take on a learner from Rated Driving before the end of 2021, you’ll get a £20 welcome gift.

Bookings are when you want them, where you want them. Your driving school gets higher visibility online and in your area.

You can edit your profile at any time by logging into your account, ensuring its always up to date and as professional as possible.

There’s even ‘dispute resolution’ if you ever have an issue with a customer, a mini-insurance at no extra cost.

Set your own prices and arrange your own diary.

You are in control and in the driving seat of your business!

“Easy to use, with a lovely clear design making it easy to organise and communicate with pupils and enquirers. You even get a direct support system if you do need support, though I doubt you will.” – Tim, ADI

Satisfaction on a plate

“We started brainstorming ideas for a better service for ADI not wanting to be part of a franchise system, but wanted the benefits that being a franchisee can offer,” says co-founder Oliver Tuffney. “Reaching out to our local colleagues at the beginning of the pandemic, we soon realised that there was a real demand for something that fitted in between the full-franchise and the completely independent. ADIs want to be in control, but they don’t want to be unsupported and alone. The last thing ADIs wanted was to be bound in with fees, commitments and obligations. After all, the reason they weren’t franchised to a bigger school was to be their own boss, working when suited them and keeping the money they made for themselves. So, this is what we have built – a ‘find an instructor’  and diary booking app that works for pupils and ADIs without the ties and restrictions that have tripped up those that have gone before.”

It has proved to be an instant hit with pupils and instructors alike. Key to this is the fact that it has been designed and built for and by driving instructors.

“You can tell that the Rated Driving team have consulted instructors every step of the way,” say Marie, ADI. “Simple and effective to use, without high or hidden costs and only sends me the type of enquiries I’ve asked for.”

ADI Tim agrees and adds: “It’s far cheaper than a franchise fee, but at the same time you get local enquiries and pupils who pay up front. It’s easy to use, with a lovely clear design making it easy to organise and communicate with pupils and enquirers. You even get a direct support system if you do need support, though I doubt you will.”

Perfectly seasoned

As well as personal customer support, joining Rated Driving gives you access to a private instructor Facebook group. Here you can chat to colleagues, ask questions, seek advice and even share work. What’s more, Rated Driving are constantly looking for new ideas and help to make their app work for you and your potential pupils. As Oliver puts it: “We do things differently so that we can make a real difference. The key way we do that is by constantly asking for feedback from instructors and adapting. We know the industry; it’s ‘our’ industry and we work with our fellow ADIs as a team. Together we can raise standards, improve incomes and provide a service better suited to all our needs.”

Fine food for thought

This is different from what’s come before, providing local customers through a high profile, high quality professional service online and through a specially designed app and dedicated support.

A genuine recipe for long-term success and satisfaction: Rated Driving.
