Lord Winston calls for cycling licences to improve road safety
Lord Winston has revisited the issue of cycling licences, after these were ruled out in 2018 due to cost
According to BBC reports, Lord Winston has once again addressed the issues surrounding cyclists on the road, regarding licences and insurance. This comes after the proposal was dismissed in 2018 due to the cost and monitoring of the system outweighing any benefits.
This led to a debate in the House of Commons on whether such measures need to be taken with Lord Robathan arguing that an active lifestyle should be encouraged, as well as looking to reduce congestion.
