New chairman
Temporary chairman for the ADINJC
At the members’ meeting on Saturday Lynne Barrie, President, announced that sadly Charles Moffat has had to step down as Chair because of ill health and a cancer diagnosis.
Staying involved
Charles Moffat will stay with the governing committee as Deputy Chair.
Lynne Barrie paid tribute to his work while in the Chair, particularly his sterling work helping those who needed support and representation.
Thankfully, he is still able to continue with much of this work for the time being.
In the hot seat
Stewart Lochrie is temporarily replacing Moffat in the role of Chairman.
Stewart has been Deputy Chair and is the ADINJC ambassador for Scotland.
He is currently in the throws of organising the second ADINJC Scotland conference, which will take place in May 2025.
He has previously been Head of Engagement, Deputy Chair and remains the association’s Ambassador for Scotland.
Looking ahead
On opening the meeting, Lochrie praised Charles’s work and thanked the governing committee for giving him the opportunity to lead the association.
Meanhwile, Stewart said he would do his best to continue working in the interests of the NJC and the wider industry while continuing to fulfill the requirements of our Constitution.
His position is temporary until it can be ratified at the AGM in June 2025.
