Speakers announced for driver trainers' essential event of the year
A big shout out to let you know preparations for the industry conference and get together are well underway.
The team have put everything into gear, checked their mirrors and are now indicating to move off. And what a ride it is going to be, if previous events are anything to go by.

They are now announcing the first batch of speakers for the national conference & expo. This year it is being held at a newer and bigger location: Newark showground, Nottinghamshire, Sunday 8th October.
Loveday Ryder
Loveday Ryder, CEO, DVSA will be the headline speaker. As well as providing an update and overview of plans at the agency, there will also be a live Q&A session. You’ll be able to put your most pressing questions to her and the team, anything from waiting times, Standards Checks to … well that’s up to you!
Amy Hartley
Amy Hartley, Marketing and Business Development Coordinator, FBTC. With a wealth of financial experience in the driver training industry, Amy has helped driving instructors through all phases of their business, ensuring guidance and support when needed. She will be providing your full guide to becoming a self–employed Driving Instructor and looking after your own finances and taxes.
Andrew Love
Andrew Love, Head of Training, ADINJC. Andrew has extensive experience working in all areas of driver training & ADI development and is also one of the leading lights of the ADINJC. There’s not a lot that he hasn’t experienced, witnessed or successfully worked his way through in this business.
Bob Morton
Bob Morton, Director of Client Centred Learning. ORDIT registered Grade A Tutor, and ex Director of training for LDC, one of the UK’s largest driving schools, Bob is top training guru. a specialist in Standards Check and Part 3 exam as well as coaching. He’s an Advanced Driver and Rider, and even winner of the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving (IMTD) trainer of the year 2022.
Kevin & Tracy Field
Kevin & Tracy Field, founders and directors of Confident Drivers. Confident Drivers is the website you can refer your nervous students to for help. You can get some tips there too, but you’ll get even more by hearing and seeing them in person. They will share five simple confidence building tips for your lessons to help your students.
Leigh Brookes
Leigh Brookes, XT Driver Training. A former police officer, Leigh was involved in advanced driver training for many years before becoming an ADI and subsequently ADI trainer. He’s also a member of ADINJC’s Governing Committee. Whether you’re preparing for your qualifications, Standards Checks or training pupils or PDIs, he’s a man with the knowledge.
Lynne Barrie
Lynne Barrie, President , ADINJC. A highly qualified and experienced trainer in her own right, she’s a pillar of our industry. Lynne holds an M.A in Driver Training and gained 51/51 in her ORDIT inspection and Standards Check. An ex teacher and author of the popular “Standards Check Success” book, she has helped hundreds of ADIs achieve their goals and she can help you too.
Mark Born
Mark Born, Head of Driver Training Academy, AA Driving School. With a career spanning three continents, Mark has a wealth of experience, including virtual reality training. He will be approaching the subject of parents in the learning process, how to get them involved for the benefit of your pupils and your training.
Mike Fowler
Mike Fowler, Senior Trainer, Drive Driving School. He’ll be helping you looks at ownership of the learning process and who is in charge of how the lesson unfolds – the client or the instructor?
Olly Taylor
Olly Taylor, Honest Truth Ambassador. 30 years in public service and passionate about road safety, in particular life skills to keep new and young drivers and passengers safe. An energetic and passionate speaker to inspire and motivate your teaching. A Co–Founder of the Honest Truth, will present a five–year roadmap and announce ambitions to make it the industry–standard road safety plugin for learners.
Ray Seagrave
Ray Seagrave, award winning trainer and driving school owner. Advocate for Coaching and client-centred learning, Ray is a grade ‘A’ (51/51) ORDIT Instructor trainer and grade ‘A’ ADI. His passion is helping ADIs and PDIs develop their teaching and coaching skills to deliver the National Driver and Rider Standards around safe driving for life.
Tom Stenson
Tom Stenson, instructor training. An ORDIT trainer delivering PDI, ADI and train the trainer courses. His training skills and success have seen him become part of the ADINJC training team & committee. This session will be all about client centred learning and how to replace a briefing with having a conversation.
