DVSA yearly ADI survey open for your comments
The DVSA has opened its annual ADI survey.
It is usually conducted in June, but was rescheduled to start on Sunday 1 September 2024 this year.
This was due to the recent general election.
Understanding
The agency runs its national survey to find out what it’s like working as a driving instructor.
Last year over 5,795 shared their experiences, but with more than 40,000 ADIs registered, the DVSA is looking to increase this figure.
Obviously, the more ADIs that respond, the more power and influence the survey will have on influencing Agency policies going forward.
Get involved
It takes between 10 – 20 minutes to complete and is open until 11:59pm on 30 September 2024.
The survey does not ask for your name or ADI number. It’s anonymous and individual responses will not be shared or published.
What’s in the survey?
The survey includes questions to help DVSA and ADI associations to understand more about:
- your business, such as changes in lesson prices and the cars you teach in
- managing your pupils, including how many you have and your waiting list for lessons
- the types of learners that you’re teaching
- your work, focusing on how much you enjoy it and any new challenges you face
- continuing education, especially on topics like switching from manual to electric cars
- your thoughts on self-driving features on cars
- the support and resources you get from DVSA
- your health and wellbeing
By filling out this survey, you’ll help the DVSA get the best understanding of the driving instructor profession in Great Britain. It’ll use the information you give to help plan and improve its services for ADIs and learner drivers.
What happens next?
The DVSA will publish a summary of the survey results on GOV.UK and send you a link to view them later this year.
