With it being  ‘Men’s Health Week’, the automotive industry charity Ben is encouraging everyone (not just the guys) to take an MoT test.

It’s not for their vehicle, but a personal MoT test to give their body and mind a health check.

We’re all busy increasing our mileage and putting ourselves through the daily stresses and strains of life. So, just like your vehicle, it’s a good idea to ensure you’re keeping up to date with your own maintenance. Keep check of any warning lights or signs that could signal problems down the road.

To help, Ben has prepared a quick and easy MoT test which you can take here.

This has questions designed to give you an overview of how your mental and physical health are functioning. There are also top tips on how to improve your wellbeing to ensure you can keep running smoothly and overcome any bumps in the road.

Warning signs

“We all know how important it is to put our cars through a regular MOT,” says Rachel Clift, Health & Wellbeing Director at Ben. “However, very few of us take the time to do the same for our bodies and minds. We’re naturally going to suffer some wear and tear and need some maintenance and repairs in life. Our test will give you the chance to find out where you are in your health and wellbeing journey and whether you need to change direction.”

You can take the test here , or for more tips on how to keep your body and mind in good working order, click here.

Ben is also keen to help in other ways. If you or someone you know is struggling, you can chat with them online. Or you can call their free and confidential helpline on 0801 311 333 (Mon-Fri 8am-8pm).
