A UK-based car scrappage company has shrunk its attention for good causes this Christmas.

Usually dealing with full-size vehicles, Scrap Car Comparison has caught the Christmas spirit mist the cost of living crisis.

Toys R U

While many things seem a little rubbish at the moment, from fuel poverty, runaway inflation and general financial insecurity, the festive season is speeding up the road towards us all.

Partnering with charity The TOY Project, Scrap Car Comparison is calling on people to donate toy cars in the run up to Christmas. These will be recycled and gifted to disadvantaged families, as well as schools and nurseries across the country.

With the struggles many families are facing, especially those with young families, some children will go without a gift to unwrap this Christmas. Toy cars are always a favourite from under the tree, big or small.  The Scrap Car Santa scheme aims to drive some cheer into what looks set to be a difficult winter for many young people.

Donate here

To donate, people simply need to send their unwanted toy cars to:

Scrap Car Comparison @ The TOY Project,

81 Junction Road, Archway,

N19 5QU

Closing date for donations is Sunday 4th December.

The season of good will

As charities across the country have also been hit hard by the cost of living crisis, the project will also be calling on customers to donate the The Toy Project during December.

Previous fundraising drives have risen tens of thousands for charities such as the British Heart Foundation and NHS Charities Together.
