There’s no doubt there has been a push in awareness campaigns about using a mobile phone whilst driving. But is enough being done?

Public opinion seems to be changing, however it doesn’t take long to drive around and spot a driver using a mobile phone.

Even after various high profile campaigns and incidents!

In a bid to help stop this irresponsible behaviour this distressing video has been released by the devastated families to make people aware of the potentially-fatal consequences of using a mobile behind the wheel.

Tracy Houghton, 45, her two sons Ethan, 13 and Joshua, 11, and her partner’s daughter, Aimee Goldsmith, 11 were on their way back from a family holiday in Devon when they were killed.

Lorry driver Tomasz Kroker crashed into the back of a stationary line of traffic on the A34 while distracted by his phone. It caused an eight-vehicle pile-up and Ms Houghton’s car took the brunt of the impact.

The video and whole story can be found on the Metro website (warning the video contains distressing scenes)
