New research from MotorEasy has revealed the most reliable cars on sale in the UK, as well as those least likely to breakdown.

As reported by The Express, the list, comprising of 33 different manufacturers does feature some surprises including the Land Rover only scoring 2.5 out 5 in overall reliability, and coming second to last in how likely they are to breakdown, from least to most likely.

Volvo and Vauxhall scored 3.8 and 3.6 respectively, but it’s the Subaru that manages to come out on top in both instances, landing top of the list for those least likely to breakdown and scoring a massive 4.8 in reliability, with Honda, Smart and Suzuki hot on their heels with 4.6.

Duncan McClure Fisher, Founder and CEO of MotorEasy said: “Japanese cars remain as reliable as ever, with the likes of Subaru, Toyota, and Honda topping the charts. Honda’s decision to close its Swindon plant is especially sad, considering the high-quality vehicles the manufacturer builds here in the UK.”
