ICE Live is back for another year with claims that it will be ‘bigger and better’.

It follows the inaugural event last year that was regarded as a great addition to the road safety conference and training culture.

Ground breaking

ICE Live will return to the Tally Ho Conference & Banqueting Centre, Edgbaston on Wednesday, 18th October 2023.

It is organised by FirstCar, in conjunction with Road Safety GB and West Midlands Police. A one-day conference aiming to raise awareness of the latest research, evaluation, ideas, films and interventions that utilises this rapidly evolving and popular technology.

“We’ve listened to delegate feedback from last year’s event,” says James Evans, Co-founder of the Ice Hub and founder of FirstCar.

“In addition to hosting a line-up of engaging and relevant speakers, we will provide more opportunities for hands-on experiences and focused discussion. A particular focus for 2023 will be on the design and delivery of practical interventions using virtual reality hardware and content.”

Host of information

Alongside presentations, discussion panels and demonstrations of the latest equipment and programmes, there will be an exhibition area. Here, delegates can talk to suppliers and industry experts about the latest products and services to enhance the delivery of VR education and training.

The room will be setup with cabaret style tables to encourage discussion and collaboration between delegates. It also allows for more accessible note taking and study of the information and presentations being given.
