Dualdrive

Dualdrive, which is part of the Drive Further collective, is offering a market-leading leasing proposition according to Dualdrive’s head of business, Dan Tattersall.

“The UK’s 39,500 driving instructors have very specific needs, and when we reviewed the market, we realised that service providers have not kept pace. Dualdrive has been created to give our customers a 2020s proposition now. It is the best value for money dual control leasing offer in the market.”

He explained that Dualdrive came about following “detailed research among our own customers and ADIs, some of whom we employ in our team. We want to incentivise our customers to stay with us, rather than penalise them for leaving.” he added.

He said that Dualdrive aims to get customers on the road in a week, and is built on the traditional concepts of fully understanding the specific requirements of customers and rewarding them for loyalty, but with the more modern addition of delivering 100% flexibility.

“We’re encouraging our customers to talk to us so that we can give them an individual service that is highly flexible. For example, we have a number of different funding solutions for them, and service and delivery processes that fit around our customers’ busy lives.”

“We can get our customers any car they want, but by taking our expert advice and recommendations on board we can offer complete flexibility including contracts adjustments for mileage and duration. We’ve also adopted a John Lewis-style approach to pricing where we won’t be beaten on a like for like quote.”

Dan said that Dualdrive will also be the first specialist leasing business to provide a unique deal for PDIs. “There were 3,500 PDI applications last year but until now they’ve been treated the same as ADIs, which we don’t think is right.”

“We are offering PDIs shorter leasing periods and we don’t require an upfront security deposit. This saves them hundreds of pounds in upfront costs, so they can focus on passing their qualification period in the knowledge help is available to manage their cashflow.”

Dan said that as well as PDIs, Dualdrive will target ADIs who tend to shop around, “We believe Dualdrive will prove the value of loyalty for customers who move providers regularly, and that leasing with Dualdrive is more cost effective than owning your own vehicle.”

He added: “The driving instructor market is a niche sector but one where specialist knowledge is critical, especially in the current uncertain times caused by Brexit, mixed government messages on fuel (diesel), and price fluctuations for used cars.”

“We have built a strong reputation with MSL Vehicle Solutions, but Dualdrive takes the concept of personalised service to a whole new level. We are confident that we will be able to support our customers whatever the future brings and make Dualdrive the brand to watch in this market.”
