The Honest Truth runs is next webinar this Thursday (11th January) at 7.30pm.

Using TEAMS, this quarterly webinar is focused on the work of Sophie Lyden.

Under the bonnet

Sophie is a young garage owner from Morecambe who has been working on her won to improve young driver road safety in her locality.

She got involved as a result of seeing alarming cases of negligence in the maintenance of vehicles and tyres by young drivers. Looking to save money, these drivers often skimp on t basics that keep them safe on the road. They are often ignorant of the very real dangers they are putting themselves in.

A fresh approach

Sophie initiated a series of social media awareness campaigns to provide valuable support and guidance. These were particularly aimed at new drivers, through her platform FreshDriversUK.

As well as offering a whole wealth of advice to new drivers around vehicle and tyre maintenance she also offers advice to those who may feel uncertain or uncomfortable in a garage environment.  Sophie had forged partnerships with numerous road safety organisations and emergency services to get her messages as far and wide as possible.
