Check if driving tests are taking place
England
In England, driving tests are taking place in areas in Tiers 1, 2 and 3.
All types of driving tests are suspended in areas in Tier 4. You must not travel out of a Tier 4 area to take your test somewhere else.
London, parts of South-East England and parts of the East of England are currently in Tier 4.
Scotland
In Scotland, driving tests are taking place in areas in protection levels 0, 1, 2 and 3.
All types of driving tests are suspended in areas in protection level 4. You must not travel out of a level 4 area to take your test somewhere else.
Wales
In Wales, driving tests will take place in areas in alert levels 1, 2 and 3.
Driving tests (except for motorcycle tests and tractor tests) are suspended in areas in alert level 4. You must not travel out of a level 4 area to take your test somewhere else.
All of Wales is currently in alert level 4.
If your driving test is affected
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will contact you if your test is affected by local restrictions and tell you what you need to do.
