A group of driving instructors in Dudley have set a fine example by showing their support after the terrible news that married mother-of-two Jo Mason (ADI), from Sedgley, died aged 48 on September 16 after a tragic accident.

During her funeral at Gornal Wood Crematorium in Dudley, on Monday, 24 instructors lined the cortege’s route to pay their respects.

The family of Jo, who had been a driving instructor for 13 years, said they were overwhelmed by the funeral’s turnout and really appreciated the gesture.

Being a driving instructor can often seem like a lonely job, however by joining groups like this one, you can access a fantastic support network.

By forming a show of support for the family, it’s evident how much this driving instructor meant to her fellow ADIs in the area.

The video has been noticed by various media outlets, but ultimately this example can be used to show what can be achieved when our industry works together.

Our thoughts are with Jo’s family and we would like to thank the Dudley Instructors group who have allowed us to use their video.
