From the DVSA:

Following the publication of DVSA’s 2022/23 business plan which set out our target to reduce the car driving test waiting time to under 9 weeks, we have published the first post of a two part message on our work to achieve this.

It updates on the work we have already done and talks in more detail about the work we have coming up to help reduce waiting times.

We will be publishing the second part of the post in the coming days and will send you an email to let you know when it’s available to read.

You can read the first part on DVSA despatch.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Business Plan for 2022 to 2023 has been published on GOV.UK.

The Year Ahead

Our plan sets out DVSA’s priorities for pandemic recovery and major projects for 2022 to 2023.

This includes an overview of how our driver and rider testing, vehicle testing and enforcement activity will change and improve over the next 12 months, to establish the right foundations for our future.

Working with you

During this coming year, we will build on the work already in place to develop a stronger customer and service focus within our culture. And, we’ll continue to build on our work with partners towards an integrated approach to safer and more sustainable roads.

We’ll share more information on our plans as they develop during the year ahead.
