AA Driving School adds hybrid tuition vehicle to fleet
The AA Driving School is expanding its fleet to include a mild hybrid option for the first time, as part of a new franchise package for driving instructors.
- Ford Puma available from September
- Coincides with new franchise launch from £159 per week inc VAT (now available)
The new car option of a Ford Puma and new franchise price of £159 per week is available alongside the existing fleet options of a Ford Fiesta and Focus.
Sarah Rees, managing director of AA Driving School, said: “We know the Covid-19 lockdown has been tough for many instructors and lots are reassessing their business needs at the moment.
“We want to ensure our proposition is as attractive as possible, both through a low weekly fee and increased car options.
“We’re really excited to bring the Ford Puma to our mix of cars and feel, combined with the new pricing, we’re more competitive, flexible and better value than ever.
“Whether instructors want a mild hybrid, a more spacious tuition vehicle or a smaller city car, they can find it here, wrapped up with everything else needed to run a successful business.”
The Ford Puma’s EcoBoost Hybrid technology incorporates a small electric motor with a 48 volt battery to help improve efficiency. Instructors will not need to connect the car to an external charge point as the battery which charges the electric motor is recharged while driving.
The cars will be available from September, with the new franchise contracts available from 15th July 2020. A replacement Ford will be provided until the new vehicles are in stock.
